The first edition of 080 Barcelona Fashion Investor Day was a demonstration of changes and innovations that is currently living the fashion industry.
A total of 48 startups related to the fashion industry presented for this first edition. The projects were, most from Spain (69%). It is behind the US (7%), UK and Italy (12%), France (4%), followed by Peru, Colombia, Puerto Rico (2% respectively) and other countries.
The 10 finalists who submitted in elevator pitch format in this 1st edition were Fashion Pills (different concept of online shop); Fit and Sit (prêt a porter for people in wheelchairs); Kloz (mobile application); La Más Mona (Airbnb for fashion); Lynber (Custom mode); Made in Me (customizable women’s shoes); Mencanta (personal shopper); Styla (designs lifestyle-magazine); StyleSage (ideas for brands) and Uniqbrow (innovative sunglasses).
The Forum was also attended conferences, such as Samuel Martinez, Head of Retail & Beauty at Facebook and by Kim Mannino, Director of trends at WGSN, which has focused on the athleisure, a style that fuses sportswear with streetstyle.
The forum ended with the ceremony award, 150,000 euros for an advertising campaign, legal advice and media coverage among others, a high reward in the international scene for events of this industry.
Made in Me was named Best Business Project 080 Investor Day 2015 by the jury composed by Myriam Serrano, Editor in Chief at Woman Madame Figaro magazine; Enric Jové, Director at McCann Spain; Isabel Mesa, Country Manager at WGSN; Gosia Pajkowska, Communication Manager at Vente Privée; Luis Lara, Senior Advisor at KPMG; Samuel Martinez, Director Retail&Beauty at Facebook and Jordi Escruela, Deputy Director of Innovation at Correos.

Made in Me, founded by Oscar Vega, received the award from the hands of Jordi Escruela, Deputy Director of Innovation at Correos, which turns 300 years in 2016, is in a process of profound transformation, spearheaded are the technological forefront and innovation as levers to achieve diversification and identification of new business models. To this end, support for start-ups and entrepreneurs, both external and within the Company, has become one of the strategic actions of the Company.
Myriam Serrano, editor in chief of Woman Madame Figaro magazine gave the Audience Award to Fashion Pills, founded by Maximiliano Urnezius and Núria Nicolas Lopez, project most voted on social networks.
The event was closed by Miguel Rodriguez, Director of 080 Barcelona Fashion.
